MESA COUNTY, Colo. — Applications are open through October 31 for an unpaid seat on the Mesa County Public Library District Board of Trustees, according to an October 13 county announcement.
The four-year term begins January 1, 2027, and ends January 1, 2031. County commissioners will select the trustee.
The board oversees the district’s budget, policies and bylaws, develops long-range plans and prepares an annual financial report for commissioners. Library employees handle daily operations.
Regular meetings generally take place at 5:30 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month at the Central Library in Grand Junction.
Applicants can review the county’s volunteer application process and submit materials through its volunteer opportunities page. The deadline is October 31.
