CLIFTON, Colo. — A free community breast health event will bring education and practical screening help to the Clifton Community Campus on October 21.

Mesa County Public Health, Dillard’s and St. Mary’s are organizing the event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at 3270 D ½ Road, according to the county’s October 8 announcement.

Dr. Vicky Mathwig will discuss breast cancer risk and early detection. Certified bra fitter Cazz Davis will offer free fittings, and attendees can receive help navigating insurance and scheduling mammograms.

The event also includes a raffle. Organizers welcome community members and particularly encourage women over 40 to attend. Individual screening questions should be discussed with a health care provider.
