GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Grand Valley Transit changed portions of Routes 1 and 3 on October 12 to address construction-related delays and missed transfers, Mesa County announced. The changes continue until further notice.

Route 1 now travels from Main and Seventh streets to the Downtown Transfer Facility by way of Seventh Street. It no longer serves Main Street stops west of Seventh or stops on Ute and Pitkin avenues. Routes 5 and 11 continue serving the Ute and Pitkin stops.

Courtesy stops are available on Seventh Street south of Colorado Avenue, near Enstrom’s, in both directions.

Route 3’s courtesy stop on Warrior Way south of E ½ Road is now available by request. Riders seeking pickup must call 970-256-7433 before half past the hour. Riders requesting a drop-off should tell the driver when boarding.

Routes 4 and 10 also remain on longer-term construction detours. The county directs riders to GVT’s website for current stop closures and service updates.
